Pre-School Overview (PK-3 and Pre-K-For All)

The registration process for Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 involves both a paper application, and a follow-up interview with prospective families. Please call the front office for more information about the process.

Overview for each level:

PRE-K3

  • Children must be three years old by December 31st of the school year
  • Class is in session Monday through Friday from 8am to 2pm
    • Half day and partial day options are also available
  • Each class has a Homeroom Teacher with 1 or 2 Teacher’s Aides depending on enrollment
    • The minimum Student-Teacher ratio is 8:1 per class
  • Curriculum includes Arts, Literacy Skills, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
  • Recreational activities includes supervised play in the School’s playground and time is also scheduled for the children to rest
  • Parents provide healthy snacks and lunch for their children with the option of participating in the weekly Pretzel Snack (Mondays) or Pizza Lunch (Fridays)
  • Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to volunteer as lunch monitors and class trip chaperones
  • After School Programs are available and include Tap, Ballet, Spanish, Music, Art, Karate and Gymnastics
  • Bus transportation is available for families living in both Brooklyn and Long Island City

Pre-K-For All

  • Children must be four years old by December 31st of the school year
  • Class is in session Monday through Friday from 8am to 2:20pm
  • Each class has a Homeroom Teacher with 1 Teacher’s Assistan
  • Curriculum includes Arts, Literacy Skills, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
  • Recreational activities include recess outdoors every day
  • Parents can provide healthy snacks and lunch for their children ir they opt out of the NYC lunch program.  There is the option of participating in the weekly Pretzel Snack (Mondays) or Pizza Lunch (Fridays)
  • Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to volunteer as lunch monitors and class trip chaperones
  • After School Programs are available and include Tap, Ballet, Spanish, Music, Art, Karate and Gymnastics
  • Bus transportation is available for families living in both Brooklyn and Long Island City
