Throughout the year, our academy participates in a variety of community events.
- Pulaski Day Parade: Celebrate Polish Heritage Month by walking with other St. Stans families in this annual parade.
- Greenpoint 5K Race: Annual 5K race through Greenpoint that also features shorter races for children (beginning at age 3). After the race, a catered awards ceremony is held in the school’s auditorium.
- Book Fair: Students can buy books, posters, pencils, erasers and more with a percentage of the sales benefiting the school.
- Holiday Dress-Down Days: These dress-down days allow students to celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Valentines and St. Patrick’s Day by wearing holiday colors!
- Halloween Trick-or-Treating and Party: The PreK3 through 2nd grade classes dress up in their costumes and trick-or-treat in classrooms of the upper grades. After school, there is a party for the PreK3 through 3rd classes in the auditorium.
- International Night: Each class prepares a presentation about a different country for an annual show that parents and friends are invited to attend!
- Andrzejki Dinner/Dance: This Feast of St. Andrew bash allows adults to enjoy a Polish band and food in anticipation of the beginning of the Advent season.
- Thanksgiving Food Collection: Each grade is responsible for collecting a different type of food which the local Lions Club delivers to a food pantry.
- Santa Claus Visits St. Stans: Students meet with Santa who passes out small gifts and candy canes with special help from his 8th grade “elves.”
- Breakfast with Santa: This Sunday fundraiser is a perfect opportunity for children to take pictures and share their lists with Santa while Christmas carols play in the background!
- Annual Christmas Show: Each class participates in this annual extravaganza which can include caroling or a holiday play.
- New Year’s Eve Dance: Celebrate the New Year in style with a night of dinner and dancing!
- Walk-a-Thon: Students are sponsored by family and friends to raise money for St. Stans through an annual walk-a-thon.
- Ostatki Dinner/Dance: This is a Mardi Gras style celebration for adults before the beginning of Lent.
- Supermarket Bingo/Penny Social: Join us for a fundraising night of Super Market Bingo (bags of groceries are the prizes!) as well as a Penny Social Raffle with special prizes for both parents and children.
- Talent Show: Students audition to participate in this evening that showcases singing, dancing, musical and many more talents!
- Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: This Sunday fundraiser includes an Easter Egg hunt as well as a chance to have your child’s photo taken with the Easter Bunny.
- Annual Golf Day & Dinner. Enjoy a day on the courses followed by a festive dinner.
