Pre-School Overview

The registration process for NYC 3K is completed by parents on the NYC MySchools website.  Parents who receive “offers” to our program must provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate, two proofs of address and the required health form.

The Pre-K4 registration process can be completed online on our website or by completing a paper application and short interview with prospective families.  A copy of the child’s birth certificate and health form is required along with the registration fee. NYC 3K

  • Children must be three years old by December 31st of the school year
  • Class is in session Monday through Friday from 8am to 2:20pm
  • Full Day program 
  • Each class has a Lead Teacher with 1 Assistant Teacher.
  • The minimum Student-Teacher ratio is 8:1 per class 
  • Curriculum includes Arts, Literacy Skills, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
  • Recreational activities include supervised play in the School’s playground and time is also scheduled for the children to rest
  • There is a free hot lunch program.  Students receive snack and lunch daily. Parents may also provide healthy snacks and lunch for their children.
  • Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to volunteer as lunch monitors and class trip chaperones
  • There is free Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m.and an affordable After School Program that runs from dismissal until 6 p.m. Contact the main office for more details. 
  • Bus transportation is available for families living in both Brooklyn and Long Island City.

NYC Pre-K4

  • Curriculum includes Arts, Literacy Skills, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
  • Recreational activities include recess outdoors every day
  • Parents may also provide healthy snacks and lunch for their children. am.
